Suggested Wording for Wills
Here are some sample clauses for inclusion in a client’s will whose intent is to leave a legacy with the Momentum Waikato Community Trust.
Entire estate
I/we instruct that my/our estate be gifted to Momentum Waikato Community Foundation, to be paid into the ‘[name of fund] Fund’, which I/we have established with Momentum Waikato Community Foundation so that it may be dealt with by the trustees of the Foundation in accordance with the terms of that Fund.
Percentage of estate
I/we instruct that xx% of my/our estate be gifted to Momentum Waikato Community Foundation, to be paid into the ‘[name of fund] Fund’, which I/we have established with Momentum Waikato Community Foundation so that it may be dealt with by the trustees of the Foundation in accordance with the terms of that Fund.
Specified amount from estate
I/we instruct that $xx from my/our estate be gifted to Momentum Waikato Community Foundation, to be paid into the ‘[name of fund] Fund’, which I/we have established with Momentum Waikato Community Foundation so that it may be dealt with by the trustees of the Foundation in accordance with the terms of that Fund.
